ENGLISH:

My paintings are inspired by the rural, itinerant painters of the Swedish province of Dalarna 1720-1870.
The large floral decorations (kurbits) which you find in all my paintings is an invented, fantastical symbol of vegetal fertility based on a gourd or pumpkin of biblical legend.
This type of paintings was popular between 1720 and 1870, particularly in Dalarna and southern Norrland.
I am very, very impressed! A fabulous focus of mind and love!

Being of Swedish descent, and a Folk Art painter as well, I admire your beautiful painted pieces and keeping the tradition going.
